Fabrication

We pride ourselves on our fabrication processes, which are of the highest standard in the industry. We make it a key mission of our company to pursue the most state-of-the-art and innovative manufacturing processes. This means that we are constantly investing in new machinery and revising our systems to ensure our customers are always receiving the best possible quality product.

From the date of templating it takes between seven to ten working days for us to complete fabrication and be ready to install your worktop. This is dependent on the stock availability of your material, and a member of our team will make you aware of any lead times at the time of quotation.

Our latest and most impressive piece of machinery is our Flow Waterjet, the industry’s leader in the precision manufacture technology. It allows us to work flawlessly with ceramic based products and also to meet clients intricate specifications with other stone products. It has enabled us to overcome some of the barriers of working with the more traditional bridgesaw range, such as making full circle cuts to even smaller diameters and to be able to perform curved cutting on ceramic products. Specialist requests can be assisted in design and advised by one of our project managers or by a senior stonemason.

Our bridgesaw range can be used for normal manual cutting, semi-automatic, repeat cut production or fully automatic production. All our work surfaces are hand crafted to individual requirements using traditional masonry skills alongside our state of the art digitally controlled machinery.

We stock an extensive range of quartz slabs, which are available upon request for customers to view in our stone yard. Seeing the materials on a larger scale and being able to visualise the surface in their own homes makes a great contribution to the design process for customers.

If you are planning to use natural stone such as granite or marble, we would always insist that you visit one of our stone suppliers to hand-select the slabs that will be used for their project. Part of the beauty of any natural stone is its uniqueness, but as a result there can be great variation between batches and slabs. This is why customer approval on any natural stone to be used for individual projects is essential. We work with a multitude of import depots located around the south-east, so we are able to direct clients to the most local and convenient location for them.

If you have any questions about this process or want any advice, please call us on 0208 216 2055 or email us at info@marble.co.uk.
